Band

Beginner Band at C.E. Hanna is offered to all 6th grade students. No advanced knowledge of reading music is required. The only requirement is that students make arrangements to get an instrument. 

The choices are:

  • Woodwinds
  • Flute
  • Clarinet
  • Alto saxophone
  • Brass -
  • Trumpet
  • Trombone
  • French horn
  • Tuba
  • Percussion
  • Xylophone/drum pad kit

The band director works closely with each individual student to determine the best fit as to what to play. Ultimately it’s the student and parent choice. Band students do not rotate through all electives but remain in class for the entire year. 

The Band participates in the OCS Band Christmas and Spring concerts. Come be a part of our Band family and eventually be part of the “Sound of Champions”
